A deepfake has appeared online in which Anna Tsivileva, head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, states the need to prevent citizens from leaving for unfriendly countries. The deepfake was confirmed by analysis from the audiovisual monitoring system “Zefir”.
The base used was a recording of the Deputy Defence Minister’s report to the President of Russia on support for combat veterans dated 15 January 2025. In the original video there is not a single word about “forced patriotism”: the provocateurs replaced the audio track and manipulated the facial expressions. The original video is available here: https://vkvideo.ru/video-219915644_456239796. Naturally, the original speech contains no mention of “forced patriotism”.
It should be noted that the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation frequently appears in fakes, so the authors of this deepfake simply followed a well-worn scenario.
